In all cultures people communicate through language, but not all cultures have developed their own system of writing. This exhibition gives an insight into the variety of written forms of expression by showing 15 selected languages that are used most frequently in the intercultural libraries.

«Schriften der Welt – Ecritures du monde – Scritture del mondo» (Scripts of the World) makes visible the daily activities of the umbrella organization and its member intercultural libraries in Switzerland. Colleagues working at the libraries have put this exhibition together to introduce a selection of scripts to the public and arouse interest in the «other».
