Many intercultural libraries offer the project "Give me a story - Family Literacy" from the Swiss Institute for Child and Youth Media SIKJM.

Families with children from 2 to 5 years of age meet for story-telling in their first language. The animator invites the children to listen to stories and tell them in their own words, to play with rhymes and verses, to get to know the picture books, to paint and to make things. Parents interact with the animator for language development, multilingualism and other educational topics.

SIKJM trains the animators and offers information material in many languages: - Schenk mir eine Geschichte
